School name honours stalwart

A pioneer of special education in Hong Kong, Dr Bobbie Kotewall, has been honoured by having a school named after her.
The school, run by the Spastics Association of Hong Kong, was named the B M Kotewall Memorial School, at a ceremony attended by Betty Tung Chiu Hung-ping, the Chief Executive's wife.
Mrs Tung unveiled a plaque bearing the name of the school.

A fund established to commemorate Dr Kotewall's contribution to education for the handicapped now stands at about $4.3 million.
The school gives special all-round education to handicapped youngsters aged from six to 16.

Lessons include training for pupils' social and home lives as well as academic studies.
