Lai Sun Development deputy chairman Peter Lam Kin-ngok says the company plans to enhance the value of its properties in Central by redeveloping two towers of Crocodile House and restructuring the Hotel Furama.
Mr Lam said Lai Sun saw potential for future growth.
The company's portfolio in Central includes Crocodile House tower one and two, with a combined office space of 124,019 square feet and 6,008 sq ft of retail space.
The towers are behind the proposed Hong Kong Station of the Mass Transit Railway Corp's new airport railway.
The station project is being developed by a consortium comprising of Sun Hung Kai Properties and Henderson Land Development.
'We are definitely planning to merge these two towers,' Mr Lam said.
He said the firm was awaiting the development programme of the Hong Kong Station project before drawing up a detailed redevelopment plan.
