MOBILE telephone services are to be introduced in Yunnan province following the signing of a US$30 million contract between government officials and AT&T yesterday.

  The American company is to supply mobile switching equipment, base stations and cellular telephones. It will also provide full system and service support including planning, installation, training and technical backing.

  Installation is due to begin in the middle of the year.
