Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Mervyn Davis to the board of its parent company and he is set to become chairman of the Hong Kong Association of Banks next year. Mr Davis, the bank's head of corporate banking based in Singapore, will return to Hong Kong and be responsible for Hong Kong/China and Northeast Asia. His new roles will combine those of general manager Ian Wilson, who retires in January after 37 years' service, and group executive director David Brougham, who will step down as a director in April.
