Forex reserves climb

Mainland gold reserves at the end of last month were 12.67 million ounces, unchanged from the end of last year, the Financial News yesterday quoted central bank figures as showing. On Thursday, state media quoted People's Bank of China figures as showing foreign exchange reserves at US$134.07 billion at the end last month, up $29.04 billion from the end of last year.
