Aluminium firms merge

Lanzhou Aluminium Plant in the northwestern province of Gansu is to merge with Northwestern Aluminium Processing Plant to form a business group, the Economic Daily said yesterday. The merged company would have assets of 1.1 billion yuan (about HK$1.02 billion) and annual production capacity of 139,600 tonnes of aluminium, the newspaper said.
