Macau Grand Prix organisers will next month give competitors a rundown of the dos and don'ts of starting a race after chaos ruined the second leg of last year's Formula Three race.

Organisers said they didn't want to see a repeat of last year's fiasco when a succession of drivers jumped the start which had, in fact, been aborted when Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya stalled his car on the grid.

As Montoya waved his hands furiously to signal his problems, cars behind him surged off the grid, eventually colliding with other vehicles.

Drivers were relying on a new set of starting lights, which were used for the first time last year.

The starting lights - which were installed in Formula One racing for the first time this year - will be installed again for all races for the November 15-16 meeting.

The Formula Three race - the main race of the meeting - will again be competed over two stages of 15 laps each on November 16.
