Hong Kong's 'Doctor Sex' wants imaginative love-making positions taught in schools after local lovers were rated the world's worst for the second year running.

A survey of 14 countries released yesterday placed France first, the United States second and the SAR last in the sexual performance stakes.

University of Hong Kong Professor Ng Man-lun blamed Hong Kong's sexually repressed nature on inadequate education.

The Faculty of Medicine professor called for the Government to encourage schools to promote a selection of sex positions, sado-masochistic sex, and the enjoyment of pornography.

'Too much at present is forbidden,' said Professor Ng. 'There must be more access to erotica.' Only six per cent of residents in the survey learnt about sex in school, while two in five discovered it in books and 22 per cent from friends. A third of the population in Germany and 27 per cent in Mexico gained their sex education in the classroom.
