Four mainlanders were plucked to safety from the sea off Waglan Island last night after their sampan sank. The steamer Socal Eight, bound for the Lamma anchorage, stopped to help the two men and two women, after spotting them waving from their vessel 14 kilometres off Waglan Island. None required hospital treatment.
