Man 'Bonster' Yin Bon spent yesterday preparing for a party to celebrate Halloween. One of Planet Hollywood's most popular bartenders, he was getting ready to serve into the early hours of this morning at the 'haunted' venue in Tsim Sha Tsui.
Regular customers would have been expecting his trademark juggling, from flipping bottles in mid-air and balancing them on the backs of his hands to mixing drinks behind his back. Born and raised in England, 'Bonster', 26, came to Hong Kong three years ago. He lives in Jordan with his Japanese girlfriend, Akiko.
What's on your mind? Halloween! To me, it's about ghosts and goblins, zombies and witches. It's about having fun and celebrating all gory stuff.
I love horror films. We will be having a party in a haunted disco where everyone will dress up.
We've got a disco open until 3.30 am so everyone will be dancing around till the early hours of the morning. Afterwards, maybe I'll go to another party.
Which is your favourite ghost? I don't know about spirits, but the hunchback is my favourite. I find him a funny character. I want to dress up as him tonight, but I've only got the afternoon to prepare for it.
How do they celebrate Halloween in Britain? In England, there is hardly any Halloween celebration, so when you come to Hong Kong, people tend to make a big deal out of it.
