Knocking Oasis off the top of the album charts is some feat - but Ocean Colour Scene (OCS) managed it.

Their latest album, Marchin' Already, succeeded Be Here Now at No 1.

They are now tasting hard- earned success, nearly eight years since their first single was released Both OCS singles from the album, Hundred Mile High City and Traveller's Tune, reached No 4 in the British charts.

The last but one CD, Moseley Shoals, has now sold more than one-million copies in Britain alone.

But Marchin' Already managed more than 200,000 copies within its first week.

In between, OCS released B- Sides, Seasides & Freerides, a limited edition collection of back-catalogue stuff, plus a live version of The Beatles' Day Tripper, featuring Liam Gallagher.
