Lucky Goal looks the best bet on an enthralling and exciting day at Sha Tin this afternoon.

The Wylie Wong-trained galloper has Megamind to beat in the seventh event but the grey's presence should help to make the market for the selection who has been working so well and who shaped so encouragingly on his debut at Happy Valley.

Lucky Goal was third to the promising Songs Of Innocence at the Valley with another decent youngster, Interstar, in second.

At the top of the straight that night, Lucky Goal looked to have every chance of running the quinella - Songs Of Innocence was cruising under Basil Marcus and, barring accidents, was clearly going to win. But lack of hard racing condition told on the run to the line and Interstar filled second berth.

All the same it was a good effort from Lucky Goal as the first three home basically had the race to themselves.

Interstar's form has been solid and Songs Of Innocence, while beaten into third by Silver Collector and Solid Contact last weekend on his only subsequent outing, did run up against two extremely useful performers for Class Three who are destined, perhaps, for the top.

Since that third to Songs Of Innocence, Lucky Goal has been brought along gradually by Wong. There hasn't been too much fast work but when he has asked Lucky Goal for an effort in the mornings, the response has looked to be of a quality nature.
