Computer company Longrand Electronics represents a long list of overseas computer brands in the SAR and Macau.
But it was the Logitech Cordless MouseMan Pro which gained it a Federation of Hong Kong Industries Certificate of Merit in Consumer Product Design.
'Logitech is known for its good designs. Some of its products are shown in modern art galleries in America,' said Paul Chan, product development manager of Longrand Electronics.
'We had faith in Logitech Cordless MouseMan Pro. There are all kinds of mice around. But this one is cleverly designed to suit human hands, while its functions make operations more efficient.' Logitech Far East is the world's largest manufacturer of computer mice and related control devices, and Longrand has been its distributor in Hong Kong and Macau since 1995.
The Cordless MouseMan Pro features a sloped surface tailored to right- hand users, convenient thumb button and reliable radio technology, which works with Windows 95, Windows 3.1 and DOX 5.0.
The sloped shape of the product is specifically designed for right-handed use and allows the user's wrist and hand to remain in a comfortable position, while letting the thumb operate one of the three programmable buttons.
Radio technology makes sure the mouse's receiver can be attached inconspicuously and receives the mouse's signal through most desktop clutter from up to two metres away. The four channels provided by Cordless MouseMan Pro in the 27 MHz band eliminate interference from multiple devices or radio equipment in use nearby.
