Body on beach is identified

The woman found dead on a Tseung Kwan O beach was identified yesterday as $1 million-a-year luxury car saleswoman Yeung Kit-ling.

Detectives are now probing the woman's business deals, believing the murder may be linked to her work.

Yeung, 34, was reported missing by her sister on October 29 after going to meet a client.

Her decomposed body was stuffed in two canvas bags and strung with weights. The bag washed up on Silverstrand on Saturday.

Yeung was identified by her fingerprints and dental records. An autopsy failed to identify the cause of death.

Sources said detectives discovered her credit card had been used to buy mobile phones and gold ornaments worth $100,000.
