Hong Kong fans of boy bands are about to get another shot in the arm with the release of the debut album from 'N Sync.
Justin Timberlake, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass and JC Chasez are aged 16 to 25.
The Florida boys plan a promotional stop in Hong Kong next year.
Chasez explained the band's name: 'In American English, it is slang - pronounced 'in sync' - and means something like synchronised.' In German, N Sync simply means the hottest, most talented pop act of 1997. Their self-titled debut album has topped the German Media Control Chart.
It has gone Top 5 in Sweden and Switzerland.
'Our success in Germany is sensational. The album is breaking all records in Europe.' 'It has already sold nearly 500,000 copies worldwide,' said Bass.
Singles, including I Want You Back and Tearin' Up My Heart, have cemented the group's status in Europe.
