We have, over the years, heard many complaints and suggestions about transportation services. And when any improvement or changes are made, they just do not last. I wrote to the China Motor Bus Company at the beginning of the school year, requesting they improve their Nos 25 and 25M service in the Braemar Hill/North Point Mid-Levels area. Single-decker buses were being used, during the early school hours, which saw the buses overcrowded with passengers standing outside the yellow line next to the exit door and students with big bags trying to squeeze to the back. The situation improved after I wrote in: CMB arranged some double-decker 25M buses, running every five to 10 minutes - but only for a few weeks. After that, it got even worse. Single-decker airport buses replaced the double-deckers, further decreasing the load capacity. It does not take a very smart person to realise what will happen to the passengers if a bus comes to a sudden stop. We have enough traffic accidents every day, we do not need one involving buses crowded with schoolchildren before we start asking questions. C K IP North Point
