Cathay Pacific's two-for-one promotion to boost tourism in Hong Kong has attracted 30,000 bookings.
However, top management at the carrier said the company would not make any money from the deal.
The promotion was announced on Friday.

'It is fairly dramatic' Cathay managing director David Turnbull said at yesterday's Association of Asia Pacific Airlines' meeting in Kuala Lumpur.
Mr Turnbull said the unprecedented surge would do nothing to boost Cathay's flagging bottom line.
