I BELIEVE many Chinese people will be surprised at Mr Edward Pun's letter (Sunday Morning Post, February 28).
Although I have spent three years studying in England, it hardly gives me a reason to stay there any longer (except for further study).
Since Mr Pun has been there on only two occasions (this should be less than three years), I wonder what can make him strengthen his love for Britain in such a short time.
Honestly, the reason some Chinese people want to get British passports is only because they are not confident of what the Chinese Government will do to Hongkong when it takes over in 1997.
If there was a chance for the people of Hongkong to stay anywhere in the world, then England would be the last choice.
