School friends signed a card for hostage Christine Alexander at the Taipei American International School yesterday and a teacher postponed a test as the 12-year-old pupil was being held captive. Christine's classmate Patti Kelsey, 11, said: 'We have written a lot of things on the card for her. I hope everything will be okay.' Others said they missed her. Patti added: 'She's a very nice and brave girl. 'A very close friend of Christine's did not talk for the whole day after learning about the incident.' Patti was taken to the scene yesterday by her mother, Vera Kelsey, who said her daughter had been very concerned about her schoolmate. Patti said she could not wait to see Christine at school again. 'I will ask her what happened. Was she tied up? Had they eaten anything?' She said despite what Chen had done she did not wish to see him die.
