ASEVEN-night tour to Tibet is being organised for the Easter holiday period. Travel is from April 6 to 13, from Hongkong to Lhasa, then ground transfer (including crossing the 5,000 metre Kambala Pass) to Gyantse, on to Xigatse, and return.
The tour includes one night in Chengdu (flight to/from Hongkong by Dragonair and from there by China Southwest Airlines Boeing 707 for the flight to high-altitude Lhasa).
Costs including all travel, hotels (of which four nights are in the Lhasa Holiday Inn) and food (except in Chengdu) is $11,500 per person sharing ($23,000 per couple, or $13,300 single). THE Parkview group, which started a Hongkong-Shenzhen airport high-speed catamaran ferry service in January, plans a Hongkong-Macau service with two vessels in June, building up to seven craft, and departing every 30 minutes. THE 113-room Marina Ming Wah in Shekou has introduced a golfing package at the new 18-hole Honichi Golf Club in Bao'an county, off the Shenzhen-Guangzhou road.
The one-night package includes full breakfast, transport to/from the club, golf and caddy fees. Prices are $820 per person shared ($1,620 per couple, $1,100 single) mid-week, and $1,200 ($2,400, $1,500) on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
