Tung Chee-hwa said yesterday he does not regret becoming Chief Executive although sleeping and watching soccer have become luxuries.

After a day of speeches and meetings, Mr Tung was in a relaxed mood when he took time for tea with Hong Kong reporters.
Asked if he would make the same choice to become Chief Executive, Mr Tung gave a definite 'yes'.
'I have got much satisfaction from contributing to Hong Kong,' he said.
He had no problem with criticism that he was running the SAR like a company. 'I have heard much worse than that,' he said.

He said running Hong Kong and running a business had two things in common - the need to be sincere and the need to stick to one's principles.
