An 18-year-old javelin record fell at St Teresa Secondary School's 20th anniversary athletics meeting.
Pauline House won the overall championship following a series of solid performances at the Kowloon Tsai Sports Ground.
The javelin record, set in 1979, was broken by a 22.34- metre throw by Yuen Siu-man of St Clare House in the Grade A event.
Chan Sze-wing of Ruth House set a new Grade C softball-throwing record.
Guest-of-honour Lo Kong-kai, the Hong Kong Catholic Diocesan Episcopal Delegate for Education, said he was impressed by students' efforts.
He praised teachers and pupils for their enthusiasm and whole-hearted involvement.
Mr Lo quoted from the book Chicken Soup for the Soul - written by Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen - suggesting that not winning didn't amount to failure.
