The Dom Perignon Association held a dinner at The Peninsula hotel in honour of visiting expert Hugh Johnson, and several champagne drinkers and wine lovers turned up to savour vintage Dom Perignon and gourmet food.
After each course, Mr Johnson spoke about the different vintages on the champagne market.
Some of the guests tried to decide which of the champagnes were the 'best'.
After dinner, Mr Johnson signed copies of his latest book - the best-selling Hugh Johnson's Pocket Wine Book.
