A sample of anti-fever syrup, suspected of having been contaminated with mouthwash 10 days before the Cheung Sha Wan clinic mix-up, was found to be problem-free, the Department of Health said yesterday.

The department tested the sample after receiving a complaint that a baby became seriously ill and was sent to hospital four days after taking the anti-fever syrup on November 8.
The baby's parents had feared the syrup was among the batch of mouthwash mistakenly given to 146 babies at the clinic last month.
The department said it had contacted 145 of the families involved.
