In the first scene of new drama series The Lazarus Man (World, 1.50am), a small blond boy called Davey dares himself to hang out in a graveyard after midnight.
When the clock strikes without anything untoward happening, the arrogant little tyke assumes he has the spooks and spirits licked, and begins literally dancing on the graves.
What happens next serves him right.
A hand pops up from a freshly dug mound, followed by the muddy, hunched body of a man who stumbles toward the terrified child, and then falls in a dead faint at his feet.
Davey shrieks, and eventually plucks up the courage to get his mum and dad.
This is not scheduled so late because it is a horror series. Instead the figure turns out to be a man who has somehow survived being beaten up, stabbed, and finally buried alive.
