After scoring 224 for six in their 50 overs, the New Zealanders restricted their opponents to 177 all out in 47.5 overs in a day-night World Series match.

It was New Zealand's first victory in nine tour matches since arriving in Australia in October and just reward for a disciplined and committed performance.

All-rounder Chris Harris hit 52 not out and took one for 32 in an accurate 10-over spell of medium pace.
