Youth denies sexual assault on six-year-old

A six-year-old girl was molested by a tenant when her grandmother was having a bath, a court heard yesterday.

Eastern Court heard a youth, 17, who rented a room in the family's flat, fondled the Primary One girl in his room.

He withdrew his hand when the 63-year-old grandmother saw them sitting on a bed as she left the bathroom, the court was told.

The youth denies indecently assaulting the girl at a flat in Kennedy Town on July 20.

The delivery worker claimed the family made up the story because he had complained the girl was always noisy, disturbing his sleep.

He said the family only made the claims to police almost a month after terminating his lease in mid-August.
