FINANCE officials from the world's seven leading industrial nations, or the Group of Seven (G7), flew home yesterday after their behind-closed-doors weekend meeting in Hongkong.

The chairman, Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Mr Koichiro Matsuura, flew to Tokyo and the negotiating teams from the other six countries - Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and the US - were also homeward bound.
