Revenue growth keeps budget deficit in check

The budget deficit will be held within the planned 57 billion yuan (about HK$53.07 billion) target this year, Xinhua news agency quoted a Finance Ministry official as saying. He said national revenues were up 23.2 per cent in the first 11 months, outpacing growth in expenditures of 16.4 per cent.
