I subscribe to Hongkong Telecom CSL's China Roaming Service and I, along with probably many other customers, was very disappointed with its service on December 14.

I subscribe to this service because I go to Shenzhen a lot and I want people to be able to contact me, if need be. I was in Shenzhen on December 14 and found that my mobile phone was not receiving any signal. I reported this to Hongkong Telecom CSL on the morning of December 15 and was told that the problem was rooted in the mainland. It was trying to make improvements and, in the meantime, the roaming service would be suspended until December 20.

I am not annoyed that the company was trying to improve the service. What annoys me is that it tried to shift blame for the problems to the mainland, and also that it did not inform me of this service suspension in advance, so at least I could have forwarded my calls to my home phone which has Caller Display.
