Dutchman to bolster Coventry

Coventry: Dutch defender George Boateng has joined English Premier League side Coventry from Feyenoord. A Coventry spokeswoman said that Boateng, who was born in Ghana but has played for the Dutch youth team, would make his debut against Liverpool at Anfield today.

Regular relegation battlers Coventry, struggling in the bottom half of the table, have looked weak in defence this season.

Boateng is a strong and fast defender who is known as a reliable marker.
