Man dies in 10th-floor fall on taxi

A TAXI driver was injured when a Filipino man falling to his death landed on the windscreen of his moving car in Yau Ma Tei yesterday.

Police believe the 31-year-old man fell from the 10th-floor stairwell of a building at the junction of Tak Shing Street and Jordan Road.

His 33-year-old brother said the two had had an argument before the incident.

Police were also told that the man had taken drugs.

The windscreen of the taxi was shattered by the impact of the man's body as the driver was about to turn into Jordan Road from Tak Shing Street at about 8.30 am.

The 45-year-old taxi driver was admitted to hospital in fair condition.
