Goosebumps: Attack of the Mutant For PC CD-ROMs Help the good guys defeat the Masked Mutant and save the world.

  That's the aim in the thrilling 3-D action game Goosebumps: Attack of the Mutant.

  It is based on a series of books and a television show about Goosebumps.

  The evil Masked Mutant has a plan to take over the world. Players must stop him turning the planet into something out of a creepy comic book.

 The henchmen, including Xorax, Chinchilla, Pinky and Root Rot, add to the excitement of the 15 frightening levels of action.

  Players are transported to the mutant's headquarters and need to use their best problem-solving powers to uncover a plot to turn the world into a comic book nightmare.

  After entering the mutant's base, you explore the dark corridors, enter different rooms and collect weapons and clues.

  However, you can call on the help of a few friendly superheroes along the way.

  Featuring celebrity voices, including Adam West of the Batman television series, Tommy Lee Jones and Jim Belushi, the game comes with stunning and colourful 3-D animation.

  The scenes and characters are comic book in style.

  Key characters seem to be talking to you. Rooms are rich in details. Even the sound effects help immerse you in the heart of the action.

 Without a controller or joystick, you will have to learn a few keyboard commands to negotiate the hallways of the dark domain. You will probably want to switch to a traditional gamer's interface to master the toughest levels.

 The game will be popular with fans of the Goosebumps series.

 Those who have never seen the show will still be able to appreciate the adventure.

  This is definitely one for the younger crowd. It is scary without being horrific.

 For youngsters too young for action games such as Doom or Duke and too old for Disney's products, Goosebumps: Attack of the Mutant should be perfect.

 It requires a PC with at least a Pentium 75 MHz processor, 4X CD-ROM drive, 16 MB of RAM, Windows 95/Windows NT4.0, 640x480 Super VGA monitor, video card with 256 colours, Windows compatible sound card, and 25 MB of hard disk space.
