Wayfoong Sports Club continued its mastery of the Corporate Games, capturing its fourth consecutive title when the event concluded this month at the Kwai Chung Sports Ground.

The club, which is the sports and recreation association of the Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corporation, earned 40 points from 18 events.

It won from the Mass Transit Railway Corporation and Ove Arup & Partners Hong Kong.

When Wayfoong won for the third time last year, it was allowed to keep the winner's trophy permanently. This year, the club which has more than 14,000 members, showed it was in top form by capturing three of the 18 events and was either a winner or runner-up in eight events in total.

Wayfoong competitors successfully defended titles in track and field, 10-pin bowling and table tennis. They finished first runner-up in swimming - an event it won last year.

The club also finished first runner-up in the water carnival and tennis events, second runner-up in the soccer (11-a- side) group A, and third runner-up in the snooker.

Dicky Yip, chairman of Wayfoong Sports Club, credited the team's success to experience as members competed throughout the year in various Inter-Hong sports activities.
