Whilst it is a commendable initiative on your part to do a 'Tourism 2000' series of articles, I am dismayed that you have only invited the views of the 'leading figures'. Where is the ordinary view of the ordinary man in the street, the landlords, the tenants, the retailers, the hoteliers, etc? And how about some frank and honest viewpoints from the business traveller and average tourist already here? Let's put our ears to the ground and hear it first-hand as our first-step remedy.
