Wife dies after killing husband
A mainland migrant who strangled her Hong Kong husband died yesterday after taking sleeping pills.
Li Zhangqing, 28, was pronounced dead at 12.15 pm, two days after she was admitted to Tuen Mun Hospital after having spent five days in her flat with her husband's corpse.
The woman was found unconscious in her Tuen Mun flat on Tuesday with the body of her husband, Lee Kuen-shing, 31, which she had apparently dressed in a jacket and tie after killing him.
The woman left a suicide note addressed to police saying she strangled her husband on December 23 while he slept, because he was having an affair and had demanded a divorce.
She took her one-year-old daughter to Shanghai on the same day and left the toddler with her mother.
She returned on Christmas Day and stayed with the corpse, before taking sleeping pills and cutting her wrists.
