Andy Leung Ting-wah's stable continued its resurgence with a couple of sparkling trial efforts at yesterday's Sha Tin trackwork session.

Proceedings concluded with six trials down the straight 1,000-metre chute with, at first glance, the horses most worth following looking to be Leung's My Friends Say and Happy Fans, Brian Kan Ping-chee's Gold Mark, the Derek Cruz-trained Sweetheart and Ivan Allan's Charming Success.

There weren't bad efforts either from the Peter Ng Bik-kuen-trained pair of Sterling Chance and Swift Kiwi.

My Friends Say is yet another of the Australian-bred horses that was purchased for last season's International Sale by the renowned vet Bill Burns who has done so brilliantly with his buys for the Jockey Club over the past four seasons or so.

Burns, formerly private vet to George Hanlon, sent up nine for the sale and they included the potentially top-class Billion Win as well as Sunday's promising winner Hara Hara, the winning sprinter Marquee Universal, Telecom Prince who has won well for Ricky Yiu, Top Light who has won for David Hayes and Running Cue who has succeeded for Tony Cruz.

That's a simply outstanding record especially as Palette Treasure whom he also sent up has been shaping nicely for Leung and Zeditave King who is with Wong Tang-ping has only raced once.
