Russia's Yulia Pakhalina won the women's three-metre diving title in the World Championships, finishing with a total of 544.62 points.
China's Guo Jingjing finished second at 518.76, and Australia's Chantelle Michell took the bronze medal at 515.0.
Earlier, China's Sun Shuwei and Tian Liang won the men's platform synchronised diving title with 326.34 points. Germany's Michael Kuehne and Jan Hempel followed at 308.01, and the US tandem of David Pichler and Charles Wade finished fifth at 246.96.
In women's water polo, Tatiana Petrova and Elena Tokoun each scored two goals as Russia beat the United States 10-4 in a first-round match.
'We expected more from the United States because the last two games we played with them were 8-8,' Russian coach Serguei Frolov said. 'It was very even until the third quarter, then we broke away. I don't know if it was us getting stronger, or the US losing touch.' Maureen O'Toole scored two goals for the United States.
'Our defence was positive in the first half, but in the second half we gave them the game,' US coach Sandy Nitta said.
