World and Olympic champion Lee Lai-shan slipped to fifth place overall in the Sail Melbourne Regatta after the second day of competition yesterday.
Hong Kong's windsurfing queen, competing for the first time since her epic win at the World Championships in Perth last month, finished seventh and fifth in her two races.
She trails overall leader Natasha Sturgess and fellow Australian Fiona Taylor with six races to go in the nine-race series.
Britain's Christine Johnston, who won both races yesterday, and another Australian, Jessica Crisp, occupy third and fourth spots in the overall standings. San San, who finished second in Tuesday's opening race, was unable to pick herself up from two bad starts despite having medium-to-strong winds of between 20 and 27 knots in her favour.
She is now six penalty points behind Sturgess, while Johnston climbed seven places to third overall.
Hong Kong's other entrant in the event, Chan Hoi-suen, is currently 10th overall.
