A 15-year-old girl was strangled and her naked body dumped in an alley by three men who feared she would accuse them of rape, a jury heard yesterday.
Choi Sze-wan, nicknamed Ding Dong, was killed in the back room of a pawn shop after drinking with the men at a nightclub, it was alleged.
Her body, hidden by a basket, was later found by a hawker in a back lane near the shop in Temple Street, Yau Ma Tei.
Prosecutor Michael Arthur said the girl had resisted their sexual advances: 'Three men attacked the girl and killed her. They did so because they were frightened she would accuse them of rape.' Pang Cho-yin, 24, and Tsui Yuk-ming, 23, pleaded not guilty to murder. Wong Chi-yin is still at large.
Mr Arthur said Pang was arrested at the Ming Sang Pawn Shop on February 10 last year.
Pang told officers he went to the pawn shop with Wong and the girl at 8 am on February 6, the court heard. Tsui, who had been with them at the Star Association Disco, arrived at the shop later.
Mr Arthur said Pang told the police Wong started to 'tamper' with the girl and her clothes were removed. Tsui told Pang to have sex with her, but she would not allow it.
