Unpretentious Italian home-cooking was the order of the day when Grissini held a luncheon to introduce guest chef Maria Chirieletti from La Posta Vecchia, a gem of a hotel outside Rome, once home to the late John Paul Getty. Maria's cooking has been enjoyed by gourmands as diverse as Iggy Pop, Madonna and Jacques Chirac. The lucky few who attended the Grissini luncheon were treated to crispy rice croquettes and grilled marinated eggplants among other dishes. On hand to greet guests were La Posta Vecchia's twin maitres'd, Paolo and Marco Lenci.
