Tingyi (Cayman Islands) Holding Corp says its parent company Ting Hsin (Cayman Islands) Holding Corp and one of its directors have together acquired 16.3 million shares in the company at an average price of 75 cents each.

 The purchases, made during the period from January 8 to 16, have boosted the collective shareholding of Ting Hsin and Mr Wei to 68.1 per cent.
