I refer to Coral Cheung's letter 'Disappointed' (South China Morning Post, December 29). The car park for the Cotton Tree Drive Marriage Registry is located inside Hong Kong Park and is controlled by park management.
The existing arrangement is for the registry to issue, upon request, a temporary parking permit before the date of use. The permit should be produced for inspection to the security guard when the user's car enters the park.
Because of the limited number of parking spaces available and the heavy demand, this arrangement has to be followed strictly.
The security guard cannot allow any car which does not have a parking permit to occupy a parking space.
For any queries regarding this matter, please contact park manager So Ting-lut on 2521-5010.
