One House, Two Systems, Three Beds Fringe Studio, January 17 This production produced by Dramaholics was a light-weight sitcom exploring the predicament of three selfish men living together and satirising their futile attempts to create rules in their chaotic lives.
To save money, Ah Wah, Ah Man and Ah Fai, each with their own brand of obsessive behaviour, decide to live together.
Ah Wah is a habitual gambler, Ah Man a lecher and voyeur and Ah Fai an obsessive foul-mouth.
It is not long before they find each other's behaviour unbearable, from snoring at night to the scramble for the use of the TV and telephone.
They start to enact rules regulating each other's activity, but when they don't work, they pass amendments. When even these fail, they pass provisos. They even create a machine to monitor each other's behaviour.
Finally they start to lead a harmonious life until a fire breaks out and all the rules in the world cannot save them.
