A heroin addict looking for an easy target to rob wielded a stun gun and attacked a man who was using the toilet. Chan Chiu-kwong, 36, was yesterday jailed for two years and eight months after admitting the St Valentine's Day assault in a Wan Chai restaurant. Lau Ho-lin, 40, told the District Court that he was jabbed about 10 times in the back in a toilet at the Tai Woo Seafood Restaurant last year. Although he was in pain and felt dizzy, Mr Lau was still able to pursue his attacker. Chan was arrested outside the restaurant and confessed he had stunned his victim in an attempt to steal his wallet. He was desperate for money to feed his drug addiction, defence barrister Flora Cheng Suk-yee said. Deputy Judge Ernest Lin Kam-hung convicted Chan on two charges of carrying arms with criminal intent and assault.
