Links to Capital Asia denied

China Aerospace International Holdings says it does not own shares in listed Capital Asia. However, it said it had subscribed to shares representing a stake of about 4 per cent in the company through a new share placement by Capital Asia last June. All the shares were disposed of at a profit after the placing, it said. China Aerospace also said it had never had dealings with the failed financial services company CA Pacific Capital, excluding the appointment of CA Pacific Capital as co-lead manager in a placement of new shares in the company last March. It said none of its directors owned shares in the company.
