SCMP Reporter

EXECUTIVE Councillor and unionist provisional legislator Tam Yiu-chung has been re-appointed to the Standing Commission on Civil Service Salaries and Conditions of Service.

 Lawyer and former legislator Simon Ip Sik-on was also reappointed by Chief Executive Tung Chee-hwa. Their term runs to January 31, 2000.

 Chaired by Sir Sidney Gordon, the commission advises the Government on principles and practices governing the pay and conditions of the non-directorate civil service other than the disciplined services.
