Canto-pop heroes were honoured at the glittering JVC Hits Awards Presentation Ceremony.
The ceremony was held to recognise outstanding contributors to the music scene last year, including singers, composers and lyricists.
Thousands of fans carrying light sticks and self-made banners attended the occasion at the Hong Kong Coliseum to applaud their favourites.
Prizes were given in 34 categories. The winners were chosen by public vote, a panel of professional judges and the Music Preparation Committee of 997 Hit Radio.
To underline the special nature of the gala, renowned singer Natalie Burks from Japan was invited to perform for the crowd.
An embarrassing incident occurred when the three winners of the Most Popular Male Artist Award were announced. The winners were supposed to be Aaron Kwok, Leon Lai and Jacky Cheung, but the host wrongly announced that Leo Ku was the winner instead of Jacky Cheung.
