Leading female fencer Ho Kai-lai is riding a wave of confidence after finishing 14th overall in a major tournament in Hungary.

The 28-year-old Hong Kong epee champion has just returned from Budapest, which was part of her preparation for the World Championships and Asian Games later this year.
Ho, who won a silver medal at last year's Asian Fencing Championships, competed against 151 top fencers from 28 countries.
She and Maria Chan Siu-san reached the second round with four wins, two losses, and two wins, four losses respectively.
Chan lost in the second round 10-15, while Ho defeated a Romanian opponent 15-11, to enter the last 64 knockout contest.

She went on to the last 32, after narrowly defeating a fencer from Ukraine.
