SFC suspends pair

The Securities and Futures Commission said yesterday it had suspended the registrations of Mui Au-nin and Mui Lau Chor-sum as dealing directors of Tim Po Securities Co (TPS) for two years and one year respectively, effective on February 4.

An investigation previously found Mr Mui and Mrs Lau were involved in unregistered dealing activities through TPS Investment.

TPS and Mrs Lau had earlier pleaded guilty in court to two summonses for engaging in unregistered dealing between May 1, 1995, and February 15, 1996.

Mr Mui also pleaded guilty to two summonses for aiding and abetting the unregistered dealing of TPS and Wong Chui Bik-wah between May 1, 1995, and January 4, 1996.

Tim Po ceased securities trading in January last year.
